Disaster can strike whenever and wherever you are. He doesn't care whether the person is ready or not to face it. What is clear is that when he comes, people can only say Innalillahi wa inna dewa diligent. It is interesting to observe what exactly the disaster was. Is disaster a form of God's punishment for His sinful servants? Even if it were true, why did God create hell for those who sin? Because isn't that the answer? Apart from that, what is no less important is that it is often found that believers do not escape disaster. Is a disaster a 'punishment' from God? And also various other questions. This study uses a qualitative method. This research contributes to the development of insight in the field of interpretation. The research results show that there are many verses in the Qur'an regarding disaster which not only mean bad things but also include good ones. Disasters do not only befall those who disbelieve, but also those who believe. In fact, the Qur'an warns to be careful of the torment that not only befalls those who do wrong, but also affects everyone around them (Qs al-Anfal [8]: 33).
