Teacher Role Modeling as a Strategy for Fostering Noble Character in the Era of Globalization

The era of globalization has significantly influenced the mindset, behavior, and moral values of the younger generation. In this context, education holds a crucial responsibility to balance technological progress with moral and character development. Teachers, as the central figures in education, are not only knowledge transmitters but also moral role models who shape students’ personalities. This study aims to analyze the role of teacher role modeling as an effective strategy for fostering noble character in the face of globalization challenges. The method used is library research, which involves reviewing various scholarly sources such as books, journals, and academic articles relevant to the topic. The findings reveal that teacher role modeling has a significant impact on students’ character formation through consistent behavior that reflects honesty, responsibility, and discipline. Furthermore, the study finds that the effectiveness of role modeling increases when teachers adapt their moral approach to contemporary social and cultural contexts. In conclusion, teacher role modeling not only shapes individuals with noble character but also fosters a moral and spiritual culture within the school environment. The contribution of this study lies in strengthening the character education model based on role modeling that remains relevant within Islamic education systems in the global era.
