The Implementation of Ubudiyah in Building the Religious Character of Junior High School Students in East Lampung

The implementation of Islamic education has the main goal of forming religious character in students. This positive character is certainly highly expected by teachers and parents. The existence of a worship program (ubudiyah) is one of the teachers' efforts to shape students' religious character. This research was conducted in Wasilatul Huda Islamic Junior High School East Lampung. The objectives of this research are: (1) to explain and describe the process of planning skills for a worship program (ubudiyah) in forming religious character students at the school. (2) describe and explain the implementation of the worship program (ubudiyah) in forming the religious character of the students. (3) Explain the evaluation of the implementation of worship skills (ubudiyah) to build religious character. This research uses a qualitative research approach with descriptive research. The triangulation (interviews, observations, and documentation) was used to collect data. Data was collected through interviews with school principals, teachers and students of Wasilatul Huda Islamic Junior High School East Lampung who were used as research subjects. Then it is supported by observation data and strengthened by documentary evidence. Then the data analysis used qualitative data analysis involved data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The habits that have been carried out include: dhuhur and dhuha prayers in congregation, reading prayers before and after learning, applying 5S every day, namely smiling, greeting, being polite, courteous and greetings when the class has a teacher coming, reading Asmaul Husna together. students and teachers every morning before studying, memorize juz amma every Monday, and clean the school, both the school yard and the room
